Legalities
All non Indonesian Citizen’s wanting to be legally married in Indonesia are required to follow the necessary procedures according to Indonesian law. Prior to the ceremony, the couple must also obtain and present an original “Certificate Of No Impediment” or a similar document declaring freedom to marry. Application must be made at the couple’s consulate in Bali in person. If you didn’t wish to comply with the extra Indonesian legalities – which of course takes extra time, there is always the option to have the perfect Wedding Ceremony performed in Bali - a time of intense romantic emotion & simply complete the legalities of the Wedding at home.
A Balinese Blessing Ceremony
This is a ceremony performed by a Balinese Mangku & is not only a spiritual experience, it is also an insight into Balinese Culture & Customs. Normally lasting around 30 minutes, a traditional Balinese Blessing Ceremony has no actual speaking & unlike a Western ceremony, traditionally there is no exchange of vows or rings. The focus on this ceremony is of prayer and offerings. If you would like to incorporate a Wedding vow or ring exchange, then the ceremony can be altered to suit personal needs. For this spiritual ceremony the beach is not an appropriate location & we will discuss with you a more private alternative setting.
