YOURWeddings Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Please read the following conditions of booking and ensure you understand YOURWeddings booking conditions.

1. Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of New Zealand and cannot be varied, except in writing by YOURWeddings.

2. Completeness

This agreement and terms implied by law comprise the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all previous negotiations and representations, whether written or oral unless agreed in writing under the Special Conditions between yourself and YOURWeddings.

3. How to book

To make a booking YOURWeddings requires a completed Heads of agreement and a non-refundable Deposit or, if the travel is to commence within 150 days of the booking, full payment is required at the time of booking. The person making the booking accepts these booking conditions on behalf of everyone in his/her party.  If YOURWeddings accepts your booking we will then issue you with an Invoice of Confirmation, and the contract will then exist between us from the date we issue the Invoice of Confirmation.

4. Check Confirmation

When you receive the Invoice/itinerary please check the details carefully and inform YOURWeddings immediately if anything appears incorrect. This is particularly important as names etc. on travel documents need to match those on passports.

5. Payment

Payment of all monies due must be paid in full to YOURWeddings according to your payment schedule provided by YOURWeddings. If no payment schedule is in place, final and full payment is to be no later than 150 days before the departure date.  No reminders will be sent and in the case of non-payment of the balance YOURWeddings may treat the booking as cancelled by you.

6. Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation fees apply to all packages. The date of cancellation is the date on which YOURWeddings receives the written cancellation notice, or non-payment of the balance under clause 5 above. Cancellation fees are as follows:- More than 150 days prior to departure - loss of  non-refundable deposit plus $5000. 150 - 120 days prior to departure 75% of total cost of the package including wedding ceremony and accommodation. 120 days through to departure date - 100% of total cost of the package YOURWeddings reserves the right to cancel any wedding at any time prior to departure due to terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or any other external events which make it unviable and/or unsafe for YOURWeddings to operate the planned event. If YOURWeddings cancels a wedding on which you are holding a booking, you may choose a mutually agreed alternative date. YOURWeddings is not responsible for any incidental expenses that you may have incurred as a result of your cancelled booking such as visa, vaccinations, non-refundable flights or loss of enjoyment etc.

7. The Wedding packages covers

All package prices are per person, quoted as twin share and in New Zealand dollars. They are correct at the time of publication. Events beyond our control may result in price increases and surcharges, we reserve the right to pass on these increases to you. The price may change at anytime until full payment is received and the booking is confirmed. If we have to change any part of your booking because of events beyond our control, e.g. an airline changes its schedule or a hotelier overbooks our accommodation, changes in applicable taxes or charges we will make all reasonable efforts to notify you.

8. The package does not cover

The package only includes travel from and to departure/ return points as in the itinerary. There is an added cost if these departure/return points do not relate to you. We do not cover Airport Taxes, meals other than specified, visas and passport fees, insurance of any kind and optional sightseeing, as well as laundry, postage, personal clothing, drinks or any other items of a personal nature.

9. Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is compulsory for all persons travelling with YOURWeddings and should provide cover against theft, personal accident, personal liability, medical expenses, repatriation and cancellation of tickets. We strongly recommend that you take out full travel insurance at the time of booking.

10. Health and Fitness

YOURWeddings recommends a visit to your dentist and doctor before your trip. You must ask your doctor about current vaccinations requirements and any recommended preparations for your trip. Pack insect repellent and sun block. Although it can be brought in all the places we visit, you never know when you may need it. Full details of pre-existing medical conditions must be forwarded to YOURWeddings when booking, although it remains your own responsibility to ensure that you are aware of any health requirements for your travel destinations. Ensure that you have obtained all necessary vaccinations and you are to carry all vaccination documents.

11. Itinerary

Travel is not always predictable; therefore YOURWeddings itinerary can alter slightly. Sometimes it is the result of improvement or may be due to logistical practicalities, while at other times it could be reasons completely out of our control and we may not always be able to advise you in advance of these changes, hence we ask for your understanding and patience should this occur.

12. Maps and Photos

All maps and photos shown are for general information, therefore they may not reflect the actual circuit or geographic areas. This also applies to hotel rooms and the surroundings, as at times there is a need to book alternative accommodation.

13. Travel Documents

Passports and Visas - All travellers must carry a valid passport for international travel and many countries (including Asia) require that they are at least 6 months valid from the date of entry. Any fines, penalties or expenditure incurred as a result of the documents not meeting requirements will be your sole responsibility. It is also your responsibility that your passports, re-entry permits and visas are valid. YOURWeddings gives no warranty that your passport/visa will meet entry requirements of a particular country as entry requirements may change.

Other Documents - Travel documents, such as airline tickets/ferry tickets may be subject to certain conditions and/or restrictions – being non-refundable, non-date-chargeable and subject to cancellation and/or amended fees.  All travel documents are non-transferable. All airline tickets must be issued in the name of the passport/photo identity holder, some carriers will deny carriage if the name varies and the booking may be cancelled. It is your responsibility that all documents are well checked and correct. YOURWeddings does not hold any responsibility for incorrect documents. No documents will be sent out unless the final payment has been received and any cheques are cleared. YOURWeddings cannot accept responsibility for items lost in the mail, it is therefore important for you to contact us as soon as these items are received.

14. Travel Advice

YOURWeddings makes no representations as to the safety conditions or other issues that may exist in any destination. For travel advice, please contact the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade or visit www.mfat.govt.nz . When travelling anywhere, put some sensible practices in place. Such as:- Don’t ever leave anything unattended or leave bags open. Don’t carry important documents, valuables or money in an open pocket and lock them away safely when you’re away from your room.  When out and about remember that bags slung over the shoulder or on your back can be snatched, therefore keep the more important items close to your body. Bum bags can also be a bit of an invitation. Do as you would do at home, in general a dark alley is not a great place to hang out. Crowed places bring opportunists, pickpockets.

15. Baggage

Travel light– If you can’t carry it, don’t bring it. All carriers also have safety regulations in place to comply with. YOURWeddings does not take any responsibility for your luggage or charges for excess baggage.

16. Roles and Responsibility

YOURWeddings acts as an agent for transport companies, hotels, and other contractors and shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, delay or irregularity whatsoever that may occur. The traveller understands that during the course of the trip there are certain risks, such as illness or accident (without limitation) therefore the traveller agrees to assume all risks associated with the trip. YOURWeddings has your safety and wellbeing in mind. We also have the welfare of the whole group in mind and accept no responsibility or liability for any traveller who contravenes any law or regulation of any country we visit. You are aware that travelling within a group may involve compromise to accommodate the diverse desires and physical abilities of the group. You accept that YOURWeddings contracts with a network of companies, government agencies and individuals to assist in the running of the Tour. To the best of YOURWeddings  knowledge these third parties are qualified to perform the duties they are contracted to perform. However YOURWeddings will not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay or irregularity that may occur due to the behaviour of these third parties.

17. Accuracy

All information on this site is accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of printing, but please note that changes (which can be significant) may need to occur. YOURWeddings will make every effort to keep you informed of any changes, but cannot be held liable for any alterations that are out of our control. You acknowledge that while travelling on a YOURWeddings package, at times we need to have a degree of flexibility and you accept that without prior notice there could be altered modes of transport accommodation and routes. Sometimes these changes are out of our control and you agree there maybe an extra charge to you.

18.
